Obama Bows To Japanese

President Barack Obama stoops low as he meets the Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko
All cases so far this month, perhaps the most stupid must be the outrage over Barack Obama of arc-president of Japanese Emperor Akihito. Next month after a similar arc to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, is for many a clear sign of eagerness to please Obama on foreign leaders.
This may be true, but it’s also something more: diplomacy.
This is not exactly unprecedented, either. In the period after the Second World War, U.S. presidents have done the same, Bill Clinton hailed the Emperor Akihito in 1994, Richard Nixon bowed to the Emperor Hirohito, and Dwight Eisenhower bowed to French President Charles de Gaulle . And lest we forget, George W. Bush shook hands and then-Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, a movement of extraordinary intelligence, which not only refutes Bush’s idea of “going it alone” foreign policy, but also sent to the left in a spasm.
The question of whether the president seems too deferential is legitimate, but should rely more on the administration’s policy in a simple act of diplomacy. Obama himself open to much criticism recently on the external front, failing even to Germany in the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, even David Hasselhoff has been done, and the surprising decision to open our system Judicial terrorists (think the message sent to Al-Qaeda).
Despite being the “chairman of Pacific Century” (whatever that is), Obama, senator from Illinois there just five years, is back in the game of diplomacy. Less than a year in power, has proved a quick student on the world stage. It can not be criticized by inclination, but at least it gave him an Emperor Akihito iPod
