Dell Announces Mini 3 Smartphone

In an announcement that surprised no one took the envelope out of his Dell computer Android-based smartphone Dell Mini-3 “on Friday.
Dell did not give a launch date, but said the company would be the cell phone only in Brazil and China begin to provide. That does not mean the Mini-3 will never come to American carriers, but they have not in the short term.
A mini-3 History
Earlier this year, rumors that Dell smartphone project was canceled due to lame specifications and lack of interest from airlines. The day after the rumor came, CEO Michael Dell rumors, telephone, he said, “it would be unreasonable” to expect to start the computer maker to a smartphone in the future.
These remarks were the rumors that Dell had a smartphone for the Chinese market followed. Then in August, was a prototype of the reports that appeared in a promotional event in China.
Who Gets New phone number at the start?
The Mini-3 is available in Brazil by the national airline of course, and China Mobile in the most populous country in the world. The two companies together serve more than 542 million customers.
If the phone is coming to the U.S.?
It is unclear whether the mini-3 will never be displayed in the U.S. and can not be so bad considering rumors specifications of the phone (see below). However, Dell was quickly pointed out in the announcement that the company already sells netbooks to 3G by AT & T and Verizon, and many other companies worldwide.
Dell suggested that the relationships with carriers’ mean more opportunities to meet the needs of a connected lifestyle “could in the future. In October it was reported that Dell can be a smartphone with AT & T to offer next year.
What are your needs?
Dell did not provide any specifications for the Mini-3 said that the information was provided only in a partner country each partner, if the device commercially available available. This points out that Dell is set to adapt the mini-3 functions for the tastes and needs of each country where it sells the device. When a prototype of the device came earlier this year, the Mini-3 known then as Mini3i) (it is assumed that a 3.5-inch touch screen with 360-by-640 resolution, a mini-USB port, SD slot card (not a word about the maximum storage capacity) and a 3.2 megapixel camera. The Mini3i was also assumed that a 2G device without Wi-Fi connectivity. However, taking into account the recent China’s desire to extend its offer 3G Mobile is safe to assume Dell Mini 3 has been improved in order to undercut 3G capability.
With or without 3G, the alleged details Mini3i were so lame that only reinforces earlier reports that Dell was a real villain smartphone. When the Mini-3 had some influence in the U.S., the company would have on their game for a market that is increasingly with BlackBerry, Droids and iPhones is filled.
