IPL Live cricket opening match would be held at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Banglore. IPL 2010 final match would be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. First IPL Live match would be between Deccan Chargers VS Kolkata Knight Riders. It will be played at DY Patil Stadium on March 12, 2010.

The 3rd edition of the Indian Premiere League 2010 (IPL) will be played between March 12 and April 25, 2010, the first match will be played between defending champions Deccan Chargers vs Kolkata Knight Riders in Mumbai at 8- pm India Time.

The IPL 2010 will be the first ever cricket tournament which will be broadcasted live on YouTube.

TV Channel Sony Set Max will telecast the event Live.

4 new venues Nagpur Cuttack, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Dharamsala are introduced for this edition of the IPL.

The 60-game tournament will have a game for the 3rd place between the losing semi-final team as a qualifier for the Champions League.

Two dead after shooting at Ohio State University

A shooting incident has been reported at the Ohio State University, where three employees were shot, one dying on the spot at around 4:00 AM at the Ohio State University campus, today.”, Reported by Police chief at press conference, organized later.

On Sunday, the Ohio State University student newspaper, The Lantern, published an campus news piece about the “opt-in” alert system for alerting Ohio State students of crimes. When the system was created, students had to opt in to receive the alerts, though officials are now considering making the system opt-out instead. In a single week, three separate major crimes were announced through this system. By informing students, Ohio State University is hoping that students will be able to help keep themselves and the campus safer.

The shooter was taken into custody after a search of the area by police. Ohio State says that one person was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition and the the other victim is in stable condition.

The Ohio State shooting raises larger questions, too, about how to inform college students of emergencies. Most college campuses are very spread-out, sometimes with hundreds of thousands of students over campuses that are several square miles. Alerting students on campuses like Ohio State’s of emergencies can be difficult.

One of the victims, building services manager Larry Wallington, 48, died at the scene. The other victim, operations shift leader Henry Butler, 60, was in stable condition at Ohio University Medical Center, officials said.

More than a half-dozen employees were in the maintenance building when the shooting occurred and have been offered grief counseling, Denton said during a news conference.

“This is a tragic event, and our hearts go out to all of the families,” said Vernon Baisden, a university assistant vice president of public safety.

Graduate student Kiernan Gordon, 31, said he found out about the shooting from his wife, who called him on his cell phone while he was driving to campus. He said he didn’t have any concerns about his own safety.

Lindsay Lohan sues, claims E-Trade baby is based on her

The actress filed a lawsuit yesterday in Nassau County Supreme Court over the commercial, which debuted during the Super Bowl this year. In the ad, a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend via video chat for not calling her the night before.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing the financial company E-Trade, insisting that the company’s new commercial about a boyfriend-stealing, “milkaholic” baby — who happens to be named Lindsay — was modeled after her. Lohan reportedly wants $100 million, The NY Post reports. Lohan’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, told the newspaper that the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah or Madonna.

“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,” Ovadia said.

Minimum Wages in Delhi

The new wages in New Delhi will be effective from 1st February, 2010. Minimum wages in Delhi are now the highest in India.

Minimum Wages in Delhi hiked by 33 percent delhi will remain the highest in the country, With the hike, minimum wages for unskilled labour has been increased from Rs 163 to Rs 203 per day.

In case of semi-skilled (non-matriculate) workers, minimum wages will be Rs 225 per day. In case of skilled workers (matriculate), wages will be Rs 248 per day.

An unskilled worker will now get Rs 5,272 per month a part of the new wage scheme, while semi-skilled workers will get Rs 5,850 per month and skilled workers will be entitled for Rs 6,448 per month.

Daily wages have also been hiked for clerical and non-technical supervisory staff. In case of workers who are graduates and above, wages per day will Rs 270 with a monthly amount of Rs 7,020.

Minimum wages in delhi has been hiked by 33%.

Marie Osmond Gives Thanks to Her "Greatest Gift" at Son's Funeral

In Marie Osmond Son’s Funeral she said: “I’m proud of my son and I honor his birth mother who’s here today who gave me the greatest gift,. “Thank you for those beautiful 18 years.”

Putting her son to rest on Monday (March 8), Marie Osmond and family gathered at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Provo, Utah.

The moving service for Michael Bryan, who took his own life, was attended by his seven siblings and show business uncles, including Donny, who delivered the invocation through tears, according to People magazine.

Funeral arrangements for Marie Osmond’s son were today. Marie Osmond’s son was remembered in a private funeral Monday set in Utah.

Questions as to Michael Bloslil’s death still remain unanswered. Marie said through a statement after Michael’s passing :

“My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

Bryan’s sister Rachel Blosil 20 said, “He was a man of his word. He wasn’t a talker, he was a doer. He was reliable,” “He knew my hopes, he knew my dreams, my secrets, things that nobody knows. He was my best friend.”

Bryan died on Feb 26th, according to police in Los Angeles, who have told of the apparent suicide, after jumping from the eighth floor of the Metropolitan Apartment building.

Browns Acquire Seneca Wallace

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported via twitter that the Browns have traded for Seneca Wallace.  The details of the trade are not yet known.

The Cleveland Browns took the first steps in improving their quarterback situation by acquiring Seneca Wallace from the Seattle Seahawks via trade on Monday.

According to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times the Seahawks will get an undisclosed 2011 draft pick in exchange for Wallace. The pick will likely depend on his play in Seattle.

John Hughes The Late writer, director and producer  has received a rare special tribute — that his fans agree was well worth the validation of their work.

John Wilden Hughes, Jr. was an American film director, producer and writer.Hughes died of a heart attack on August 6, 2009, while walking in Manhattan, where he was visiting his family.He was 59 years old. On that morning, Hughes was on West 55th Street in Manhattan when he was stricken with chest pains.
There are several reasons why this is true, but here are some that I consider most important. The New Tenants has won the award for the Best Live Action Short Film at the 82nd Academy Awards. American director Gregg Helvey’s 19-minute film “Kavi”, about a young boy who wants to play cricket and go to school, but is forced to work in a brick kiln, lost the best short film, live action Oscar to “The New Tenants”.

Joachim Back and Tivi Magnusson walked away with the award for telling the story of a prying neighbour, a glassy-eyed drug dealer, and a husband brandishing both a weapon and a vendetta in “The New Tenants”.

Roger Ross Williams and Elinor Burkett bagged the short documentary Oscar for ‘Music by Prudence’, while Nicolas Schmerkin got the best short animated film award for ‘Logorama’.

The venue of the 82nd Academy Awards is the Kodak Theatre. In this eventful evening, many winners have already been announced. ‘The Hurt Locker’ won the award for the Best Original Screenplay, where Christoph Waltz won the award for the Best Supporting Actor. Director Pete Docter has also picked up his very first Oscar for the animated flick ‘UP’ which won the Best Animated Film Award at the 82nd Academy Awards.

The other nominees of the show are waiting with bated breath, their acceptance speeches ready, and they are hoping against hope that their name would be called out, and they would get honored in this eventful evening too.

Harnish Hamilton is directing the 82nd Academy Awards ceremony, whereas Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman are producing it. Like the co-host Alec Baldwin, it is also the director – Harnish Hamilton’s debut at the Oscars. The 5-times Oscar-nominated composer Marc Shaiman will be the music director for the 82nd Academy Awards.
