Two dead after shooting at Ohio State University

A shooting incident has been reported at the Ohio State University, where three employees were shot, one dying on the spot at around 4:00 AM at the Ohio State University campus, today.”, Reported by Police chief at press conference, organized later.

On Sunday, the Ohio State University student newspaper, The Lantern, published an campus news piece about the “opt-in” alert system for alerting Ohio State students of crimes. When the system was created, students had to opt in to receive the alerts, though officials are now considering making the system opt-out instead. In a single week, three separate major crimes were announced through this system. By informing students, Ohio State University is hoping that students will be able to help keep themselves and the campus safer.

Minimum Wages in Delhi

The new wages in New Delhi will be effective from 1st February, 2010. Minimum wages in Delhi are now the highest in India.

Minimum Wages in Delhi hiked by 33 percent which was approved by Delhi Cabinet under minimum wages act on Monday. Minimum Wages in Delhi hiked by 33 percent delhi will remain the highest in the country, With the hike, minimum wages for unskilled labour has been increased from Rs 163 to Rs 203 per day.

In case of semi-skilled (non-matriculate) workers, minimum wages will be Rs 225 per day. In case of skilled workers (matriculate), wages will be Rs 248 per day.

An unskilled worker will now get Rs 5,272 per month a part of the new wage scheme, while semi-skilled workers will get Rs 5,850 per month and skilled workers will be entitled for Rs 6,448 per month.

Daily wages have also been hiked for clerical and non-technical supervisory staff. In case of workers who are graduates and above, wages per day will Rs 270 with a monthly amount of Rs 7,020.

Minimum wages in delhi has been hiked by 33%.

John Hughes Tribute On Oscar

John Hughes The Late writer, director and producer  has received a rare special tribute — that his fans agree was well worth the validation of their work.

John Wilden Hughes, Jr. was an American film director, producer and writer.Hughes died of a heart attack on August 6, 2009, while walking in Manhattan, where he was visiting his family.He was 59 years old. On that morning, Hughes was on West 55th Street in Manhattan when he was stricken with chest pains.
There are several reasons why this is true, but here are some that I consider most important. As the author of a new book on Hughes and his films (among others), I have spent the last few years immersed in the world ofJohn Hughes , interviewing people who worked with him (including actors like Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy) and loved it. And through this process, which was largely completed at the time of his death reminds me again and again, asJohn Hughes .

Mark Linkous is best remembered for his works with Sparklehorse. Mark Linkous who was also the producer for Daniel Johnston’s 2003 album “Fear Yourself,” had also joined hands with Danger Mouse for “Dark Night of the Soul”. Mark Linkous was in his 40’s and was working on a new album. No more information about the death of the musician has been made available as of yet. Expectedly, in the coming days, further light will be shed on the matter.

Mark Linkous‘ life has been as dramatic as his compositions which were often a product of sheer pain that the man went through in his own life. It is being said that Mark Linkous actually stopped breathing for a couple of minutes after he engulfed a poisonous mix of Valium alongside some high dosed antidepressants in the U.K.

Man Accused Of Killing Darien Family Found In Florida

Jacob Nodarse has been arrested not on murder charges but obstruction of police charges. But investigators say Jacob is their lead suspect in the death of Jeffrey Kramer, 50, his wife Lori, 48, and son Michael, 20.

Jacob Nodarse, the primary suspect in the Darien murders has been arrested. The 23-year-old Nodarse was found sleeping in a minivan near his parents’ home.

A 23-year-old man sought in the slayings of three family members in Darien was taken into custody at his parents’ home in southern Florida this afternoon, officials said.
