NASA fueled space shuttle Atlantis for a launch party at the space station, despite a sky more and more blurred.

CBS analyst Space News William Harwood writes that the external tank of shuttle Atlantis is loaded with half a million gallons of super cold liquid oxygen and hydrogen rocket fuel.

The three-hour fueling process began on time at 5:03 ET, and the container is loaded and stable replenish mode to 8 pm

Harwood said there are no major technical problems, 39A, and forecasters expect a chance of 70 percent of acceptable weather conditions. The low clouds were the main concern.

Monday, scheduled for 2:28 p.m. EST. The 11-day flight (which will include three spacewalks) to take astronauts into orbit by Thanksgiving.

The STS-129 mission will be led by Charles Hobaugh, and piloted by Barry Wilmore. Also on board are Mission Specialists Robert Satcher Jr., Mike Foreman, Randy Bresnik and Leland Melvin.

Wilmore, Satcher and Bresnik make their first spacewalks.

The six astronauts awoke all the time power was launched before dawn.

Atlantis and its crew will deliver two gyroscopes time control, equipment and essential spare parts for the International Space Station. NASA wants to document the teams so there as possible before the shuttle fleet is retired next year.

This mission is also planned for the final space shuttle flight of rotation of the shuttle crew – which will be bringing home the Expedition 20 flight engineer 21 Nicole Stott off from the International Space Station in late August.
