The early morning hours of 17 November is the best time to see that the Leonids shower in the United States.
How the Leonids shower
For those in North America, the astronomers are predicting that the best time of the Leonids shower will see, after 1.30 clock ET, and before daybreak on the morning of 17 November 2009, said Michael Bakich the Astronomy.com. The meteor shower can be seen from this November 13-20.

The Leonids shower gets its name because, when you get the meteors in this shower appear to come from the constellation Leo. Dust particle hits the atmosphere of the earth are actually the remnants of debris from Comet Tempel-Tuttle.
