Mark Linkous Dead
Mark Linkous is best remembered for his works with Sparklehorse. Mark Linkous who was also the producer for Daniel Johnston’s 2003 album “Fear Yourself,” had also joined hands with Danger Mouse for “Dark Night of the Soul”. Mark Linkous was in his 40’s and was working on a new album. No more information about the death of the musician has been made available as of yet. Expectedly, in the coming days, further light will be shed on the matter.
Mark Linkous‘ life has been as dramatic as his compositions which were often a product of sheer pain that the man went through in his own life. It is being said that Mark Linkous actually stopped breathing for a couple of minutes after he engulfed a poisonous mix of Valium alongside some high dosed antidepressants in the U.K.
The most famous of his recognition of Sparklehorse, who released four albums of creative environmental psycho-folk, Linkus also prepared a 2003 album by Daniel Johnston Fear itself and with Danger Mouse on the dark night of the soul. His exact age is not known, but he was in the forties. “It’s very sad that we share the news that our dear friend and family member, Mark Linkus, took his own life today,” said in a statement from his family. “We thank him for his time with us and will keep it forever in our hearts. Let his journey was a peaceful, happy and free. It’s sky is a star for you. Dramatic, Linkus’ lush music often come from a place of pain. In 1996 Linkus actually died within two minutes after taking a dangerous combination of valium and antidepressants during a visit to Britain in 1995 Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot debut Sparklehorse’s. He recovered, but the incident left him Crippled – he laid unconscious for 14 hours, vidrizavshy appeal to his feet. He suffered a heart attack when doctors tried vypryamyty feet, and walked seven operations to save his damaged limbs.
Linkous committed suicide on March 6, 2010 with a single shotgun blast to the head. Linkous’ family members initially found him (still alive) after the shotgun blast. With extensive facial and cranial trauma to Linkous’ head (Linkous suffered a particularly devastating “blow-out”-type wound wherein the blast evacuated the back portion of his head), his family called police and an ambulance crew. Linkous lived for an additional three hours after the shotgun blast, but was later pronounced dead by ambulance EMT workers
