Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware
Apple today has released the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch. This release is just a minor upgrade over the last firmware and it mostly brings stability and bug fixes for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G and iPod Touch . Interestingly, this (version 3.1.3) isn’t the same version which runs on the newly released Apple iPad (OS 3.2).
Apple has upgraded the iPhone and iPod Touch software to version 3.1.3 which includes the following changes:
- Improved accuracy of reported battery level on the iPhone 3GS
- Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some cases
- Fixes a bug which may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.
This goes without saying really, but I’m going to say it anyways as a friendly reminder. 
DO NOT UPDATE TO FIRMWARE 3.1.3 IF YOU ARE JAILBROKEN! It is not safe yet to do so if you want to remained jailbroken and unlocked. This advice comes straight from the DevTeam via Twitter. If your silly enough to upgrade, I’ve got bad news…you can no longer restore to 3.1.2 unless you have your SHSH on file in cydia.
While we all like updates, this one is really nothing special and doesn’t make it worthy of losing jailbreak just for it. The update includes a fix for the iPhone 3GS battery level reporting (I’ve never noticed any problems), a fix for app that crashed on launch (Haha really? ) and a fix for app crashes while using Japanese Kana Keyboard.
The software update is compatible with all versions of the iPhone and iPod Touch and is available now through iTunes.

Updating new firmware a bit useless for me. If you have a Jailbroken iPhone this firmware will nullify your iphone. I dont know if it’s true. I saw it here

My ipod touch 1G is the main iPod, Pda and a lot more, as well as has long been ever since I received it. It also run the current iPod system software program, and any app I might want it to run. I’m using it to post this comment at this moment. Iwould say it is really a lot more than just an “excellent hobbyist system” — it is really an superior iPod

@Crazy – You can uncover the actual apple iphone from most program operators now. It was just while the apple iphone was accessible exclusively in order to certain networks that they wouldn’t permit this, now they dont seem to mind.
